James Coignard (1925–2008) was a distinguished French artist renowned for his expressive and innovative works across painting, sculpture, engraving, and ceramics. Born in Tours, France, he spent much of his life in Antibes on the French Riviera, where he developed a distinctive style that blended abstraction with elements of collage and gestural expression.
